![]() ![]() No Indian festival is complete without bhajans, and hence we are sharing a list of songs that you must hear during Navratri. These songs could either be sholkas, bhajans or aartis. The one thing apart from the worship of Goddess Durga is that these festivities are incomplete without bhajans. And in the West, its all about the vibrant Dandiya and Garbha. Women visit each others' home for the customary Vettalai-Pakku and Sundal during this festival. In South India, people celebrate Bomma Golu, a ceremony where people display dolls and idols and various shapes, sizes and forms. ![]() In the Bengal, the festivities begin with the Chandi Path or the Durga Saptasati, which pays ode to the Goddess. ![]() And in the Eastern part of the country, devotees await the arrival of Maa Durga along with Devi Saraswati, Devi Lakshmi, Ganesha and Kartikeya from Shashti (sixth) day onwards. In the northern part of the country, people organise Jagrans or Jagraates to sing bhajans in praise of the mighty Mother Goddess. The festival of Navratri is just around the corner and devotees of Maa Durga across the country are gearing up to welcome her with must zeal and enthusiasm.
